International Cornea Foundation

Our Mission

Initiated by Sudeep Pramanik, MD, MBA, the International Cornea Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to restoring vision all over the world by bringing the teaching expertise of board-certified ophthalmologists to other countries and communities in need.

The ICF offers an international fellowship program involving bringing doctors from other countries to America and training them in anterior segment and refractive surgery, so they can provide the care necessary to prevent blindness .

After the fellowship in America, we return with the doctors to their home countries and perform complimentary surgeries, while simultaneously laying the ground-work for quality follow-up care for the patients in the area.

mary Jane Vance Fellowship

In honor of Mary Jane Vance, "adopted" grandmother of Sudeep Pramanik, founder of the ICF, the Mary Jane Vance Fellowship was established. This incredible program allows international physicians to visit the states for a fellowship in complex cornea surgeries with the ophthalmologists of the ICF, in order to help better serve their communities.

Through our partnership with Josie Foster at Sight Source, we are helping to establish accessible and affordable eye-banks for communities in need.

Our partnership with Eyedea Medical ensures that the more critical unmet needs are being addressed and that surgeons and eye banks can be trained on the most innovative technologies.
